Kat's Eye Design and Photography
Early on, I developed a love of all things art. At a young age I was always drawing and coloring. By the end of high school I had discovered photography. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Photojournalism from Webster University. While at Webster I was the school newpaper's photo editor and won two MO College Media Association Awards. I also photographed for the South County Times, Webster-Kirkwood Times, and the St. Louis Blues kids' club. I returned to college at Lindenwood Univeristy to receive my teaching certificate and Masters of Teaching. I began teaching in 2005 and have taught from elementary to college since. My love of art has deepened through teaching. I love to lead students through their creative exploration.
I am currently an instructor at the Art Institute of St. Louis and Barat Academy, a college prep high school. I also work as a freelance photographer and artist from my home in St. Louis, MO. Most of my current work is nature and sports photography shot with my Nikon.
